Yesterday, we had a practice for our capping and pinning ceremony. It was an 8 hours of practice. It was really boring at first but the when I got to know and learn the songs, I actually enjoyed it. haha. so judgmental at first.
We have three songs for the main ceremony - our BATCH SONG, CANDLE LIGHTING SONG and TRIBUTE FOR PARENTS SONG. They are really good compositions made by talented students of our batch. *The composers also did the music*
The song that admires me most[til now] is the tribute song for our parents which was composed by the classmate last summer, Ms. Lea Macadangdang. We all know that she has the talent especially when she sang to us [last summer in Ma'am Birch's class] the tagalog version of "Love Story" by Taylor Swift . It was really good. Only, she has this "shy" part when she sings. I heard that she made many compositions before - her OWN compositions but it was not fully appreciated by others. Well, not of course now because I know that my other batchmates love it [i feel it :)]
The song "Thanks for everything" is very touching meaningful. The part I like the most is the second stanza. I remeber my parents whenever I see that part, more of course whenever we sing and reach the second stanza. The melody of the song is good too.
I can't wait to sing this song for my parents on our capping and pinning ceremny on aug 9. it will be a very memorable one :)
